Tagged?

While, I would generally beware of getting tagged as it means thinking about things and reflecting upon one's taste .. and I don't really taste that well .. or so I have been made believe.

Okay, seriously, reading your own opinions from an year or two back always gives you ample chance to measure the change within your own thought process. So anyways .. before I spoil this fully timepass tag with more fundas (alas, its too late) .. lets go on ahead with it shall we?

Aha .. we have a nice little puzzle here. My *actual* 23rd post and the 23rd post as shown by the movabletype archives are different. Strangely my movabletype archives start with the number 5 instead of 1. So anyways .. before I totally spoil the fun part of this tag (as if any remains, still) ..

Fighting comment spam

Bloggers everywhere are making use of various techniques to fight comment spam. I was using the old version of MTBlacklist till now. Still, time and again I continued being the brunt of spammers. There were 3 alternatives .. upgrade to the new blacklist, install a visual check which will require commenters to type the shown stuff or just close the comments for old posts. I chose the last one .. for now. So MT-Close2 is in place. Comments will be closed for entries more than 15 days old.

spammed

aNYa Blogs! has been spammed. I find comments advertising products / services. (Particularly in the old comments) This is not at all acceptable. I will have to block IPs from now on engaging in such shit.
[EDIT] : I have installed MTBlacklist for this blog. The comment spam has been purged. Future spam will suffer the same fate.

Transferring archives?

I have been meaning to transfer my archives over from the old location of this blog. Thing is I really dont have the time to figure it out. My thesis work is going on at full speed, plus I have a mind-numbing course which is really a pain. (funny - if it is numbing; how does it pain?).

Anyways - gotta do it soon, else I'm sure i'll forget all about it.
