Posted by: Kailash at November 12, 2004 06:08 PMthe * means that that blog has been updated (i.e. a new post has been made) within the last 24 hrs. bloggers can do this by pinging various sites .. namely servers at blogrolling.com or weblogs.com or someothersitewhosenameiforgot after making a new post so that the servers know their blogs have been updated. if your blogroll is generated by blogrolling.com, it will automatically check against each server to see which blogs within your list have been recently updated.
