It is, in fact, very frustrating that I can't just let go. The election comes back to haunt me when I least expect it. Damn. I have to move on.
Sorry Everybody is a website put up by the kind ol folks we call americans, those from the blue states, or those from the red states who went against the current. Do visit the gallery. [via Leela]
If you, like me, are still mulling over the elections then [go do something better] this page is quite interesting. It gives a view of various cartograms of the recent elections. [via Pomegranate]

So then why were you so unhappy when Congress came into power in India.
W: the analogies are not that simple are they?
Still, if an answer is reqd then we would have to look at what each party stood for in India, and what each Presidential candidate stood for in US (as they have a presidential system).
For the US elections I was against Dubya himself. I abhor his misuse of power and everything related. For the Indian elections the erstwhile BJP govt was doing good in terms of economic development, which is what India needs. In the end it all comes down to one thing --
I thot the BJP govt should be 'rewarded' for its successful policies by re-electing them to power. Similarly Dubya should have been punished by being given the boot.
LOL! The sorry everybody site is just giving the reds more ammunition.
[Does anyone use reds for republicans? THat would be a hoot!]
Posted by: Chinmay at November 13, 2004 01:48 PMwhy is it giving ammo to the reds? reds are rebuclicans conventionally.
Posted by: anya at November 13, 2004 03:16 PMwell 'reds' used to be commies!
Also, it will give an ammo because this is similar to Kerry's 'Global Test'. It's like the democrats [or at least the 'Sorry everybody' people] bow to the wishes of everybody in the world...
The spinmeisters can convert anything to anything...
