aargh

I am a food fanatic. I miss Indian food like hell (when I decide to return to India for good, this will be the #1 reason). Mostly outside stuff but homemade stuff too. So whenever there is any event etc, I always ask my friends/family etc 'khayla kay hota?' (what was there to eat), and my friends being the friends they are .. intricately describe everything, leaving me hungry and frustrated. kya kaare, I asked for it.
So by now, I am somewhat used to it. I feel the pangs of hunger, I miss the stuff that my friends are eating, but I don't feel as sad. However once in a while I get caught unprepared. Like a few days back mom told me she had sitafal rabdi. That was it; a complete meal .. chicken tikka masala, malai kofta, parathas, jeera rice and later the goddamn sitafal rabdi was dreamt up by my imbecile brain. I am still getting over it.

Well, if you are feeling bad, think of the positive side - Nobody is forcing you to gulp Bhendi!

Btw, I had juicy, tasty, hot mutton biryani at Fakrudin the other day.Do I hear a "aargh" ?

Aww... so i ought not to tell you about the lip smacking kala-khatta golas, the piping hot pav bhajis and the awe-freaking-some pani puri that formed a main part of my weekend then huh?
hmm...

Yo! ditch the debugging, go out, get some desi food and some much needed sun. Wait! rewind...maybe the sun's what's getting to you!! Yeah, you better stick to debugging dude...it's safer :p

That's strange, because I never hear of food like chicken tikka masala, malai koftas and rabri being a part of daily Indian food? Isn't the stable daal roti more to be missed?

I cook the daal roti here.

Yesterday my friend came back from Nagpur and got loads of santra barfi with him. Ahh, the orange flavoured khava, and the orange pulp at the core.....heavenly :)
