Heres a photu of what we had made for dinner on GudiPadwa. (clockwise) Poori, bhaat, green chutney, batata bhaaji, shrikhand, kurdai, lassi
It was the best dinner ever! Classic case of many cooks coordinating and not spoiling anything. Seriously me thinks we should open up a restaurant here in the US .. the food will definitely be better than some of the places I've been to.
Alas the days in Duluth are numbered .. and cooking such meals with friends (and later finishing the same and reflecting on the meal for days to come) will soon be a thing of the past. (Or will it?).
Don't worry fellow roommates..(and almost roommates) (and friends- (now everyones covered)) I'll cook for u guys when u come over to my place then! (Ha! that'll keep them away).

Hats off to u guys man.......that plate looks as if it is from Shreyas or any marathi ghar from aapla pune....looks asal marathi jevan.....
ya I can empathise with u when u talk about leaving Duluth....I have gone thru that twice....once when I left Nashik to go to Bombay at the end of my 2nd year.....and then when I left Bombay to come home after my internship....those were the golden years....only difference.....me and u are still single and looking....

Posted by: Digamber Purshottam Chandrachood at April 6, 2004 10:40 AMThis meal was cooked by I and my roommates (and almost roommates). Fortunately we all are very enthusiastic abt cooking. Everything was made from scratch (except the kurdai of course - which u just have to fry).
Posted by: aNYa at April 6, 2004 12:42 PMAjit is too good. I am a decent cook .. however others are no less. In fact ajit himself made the batata-bhaaji which was awesome!!
Posted by: aNYa at April 6, 2004 01:15 PMhey what is that thing to the left of puri in the wati. in your clockwise order u never reached there ????
that looks the most tempting ......
Ohhh ... my bad!!! I wonder how come nobody else noticed it...
