Here I am ..

Finally I have shifted the blog .. and this is the first entry on the new domain. I wanted to write this yesterday, as soon as India won the match against Australia; but sleep prevailed (the match ended at 6:00am or thereabouts). It was a tremendous victory and will go a long way in lifting my spirits whenever I think about it. (Lets hope it does the same for the team members).
Anyways, a new semester starts tomorrow .. the final one as far as I am concerned. It's always exciting to go to school on the first day of the new semester as Resh reminded us not too long ago.
Also, bear with me as I go on experimenting for a few dyas, and think about how to transfer my old archive here, as well as adding other, new stuff. Cheers ..

Ah! Nice.
The obvious questions are, of course,
1)Where did you buy the domain?
2)Who's hosting it?

What say about personal hosting a la - http://getdave.com/Server/ ?

You already have a DSL at home methinks? does that come with a permanent IP?

Although it is a pain to setup, it IS the geek thing to do! wot say?

Posted by: Chinmay at January 20, 2004 04:08 PM

I DID think of that, but cannot say about broadband as well as dedicated IP after I graduate - wot?

Posted by: aNYA at January 20, 2004 06:30 PM

truly said.

is it possible to change the IP associated with a domain name? or the other way round? dunno..

In any case, even if you have permanent IP, commercial hosting is probably cheaper for smaller websites... (assuming you won't buy DSL otherwise...)
